Our hospitals offer a wide range of food and drink options for patients, visitors and the general public.

What we eat can make a real difference to the health and recovery of patients when they come into hospital.

That's why we put a lot of effort into providing a range of good quality food for patients and visitors.

Patient meals

Our patients are served three meals a day. Each menu offers nutritional and tasty food suitable for a range of special and textured diets and portion sizes. Any patients with social or cultural needs will be offered a separate menu.

If you have a special dietary requirement you should let the nursing staff know and they will notify catering services and may also refer you to the dieticians department.

A selection of drinks are served with each meal. Drinks are also served to you on the wards first thing in the morning, mid-morning, mid-afternoon and late evening.

Your views

We regularly conduct both in-house and independent audits to ask patients their opinion of the meals and service we provide. We do this so that we can make adjustments and improvements.
