• Haptoglobin levels are useful in the diagnosis of intravascular haemolysis.
• Haptoglobin is an acute-phase protein which means it may be falsely elevated in inflammatory conditions.

Sample Requirements

Clotted blood. (No patient preparation or special handling required)

Adult
