Crane lift at Atrium entrance at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital – temporary road closure and access changes
Due to anticipated high winds, the crane lift originally planned for Tuesday has been rescheduled to Thursday 11 December.
To facilitate this safely:
- Site set-up begins at 7am on Wednesday 10 December.
- The crane lift will take place on Thursday 11 December.
- The atrium roadway will remain closed during this period.
- Alternative disabled parking is available at the Tower car park and on Mayhill Way.
- Pedestrian access to and from the Atrium will be limited and signposted during set-up.
- Access will be prohibited during the crane lift itself for safety reasons.
- The area is expected to reopen mid-afternoon on 11 December, subject to favourable weather conditions.
These works involve lifting sections of steelwork to enable a roof replacement. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these essential improvements.
